Mercy Medical Ministry is a medical clinic for the underserved and uninsured in Lee County and the surrounding area.

Mercy Medical Ministry

Our mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ and His good news of hope by providing quality, compassionate medical care to the medically underserved of Lee County, Alabama.

Our Story

Dr. Dell Crosby, an emergency medicine physician, felt the call to start Mercy Medical after an oversees mission trip to Kenya.  Upon returning, the seeds had been planted in his heart and he began to question how to meet the local needs of patients without insurance or financial resources.

Patient Information & Services

We offer a wide variety of services, including family medical care, women's health screenings, spiritual counseling, a prescription assistance program, and much more.

This quarter we would like to highlight the donations made by SOIMA (Student Osteopathic Internal Medicine Association) from Auburn University. The following medical supplies were donated:

  • scale

  • chairs

  • supply containers

  • handheld otoscope

  • handheld ophthalmoscope

  • BP cuff (large and small)

  • oxygen saturation monitor

  • biohazard trash containers

The medical supplies have furnished a new patient exam room and in return have expanded the volume of patients we can see in clinic.

We are grateful for every contribution given to aid the mission of our clinic, and SOIMA has played a vital role in increasing our potential to take care of every patient that walks through the doors of MercyMedical Ministry.

The Board of Directors of Mercy Medical Ministry is pleased to announce that we are exploring the possibility of a strategic partnership with Christ Health Center of Birmingham.

CHC is a non-profit primary healthcare group that is committed to meeting both physical and spiritual needs of patients. Like Mercy Medical, the mission of CHC is providing Christ-centered healthcare to the underserved.

This partnership will allow Mercy Medical to significantly expand the work we are currently doing in our community. Our partnership with CHC will allow us to seek grant funding to grow our operations, increase our patient capacity and serve the growing demands for affordable primary healthcare.

Your continued support will be vital to the ongoing ministry of Mercy Medical. This new partnership will build on our current support system, allowing us to increase our ministry impact. We are thankful for each of our donors and community partners. We look forward to expanding our outreach with this strategic partnership.
